Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head

And they're also falling on every softball in the tri-county area.. which is making things kinda difficult for our conference games that were supposed to be last week since it's sunday currently raining, tomorrow's double header against Horicon. So God willing the waters will subside for our upcoming games

A not-so Welcome home

Last night was bittersweet for me and on doubt for others to. We faced off against Campbellsport which is mine and Kelly Helsel's hometown, and two years ago Campbelllsport knocked us out of regionals. so there was plenty of excitement for the game.
We got a run in the first inning when Kelly (Seibel) hit a triple and then scored on a bad throw. Emu started as our pitcher, and it was in the bottom of the first inning when Campbellsport came back and scored three of their four runs runs.
All in all the hits just weren't coming out for us, when we did hit well, it went right to the fielder. leaving us with Kelly's triple as our one truly good hit for the night.
Campbellsport scored another run in the bottom of the fourth, making our final score 4-1 the victory being C-port's.
sitting on the sidelines somehow made it feel even more painful for Kelly H. and I.. but one of the greatest things about this softball season, is we have like twelve games (at least) left to make it all better and there is so much that we've learned from this loss. plus it's nonconference so it's no biggy

And a note for games of the week of April 20-24... I'm in florida so i'll only be able to reciprocate the reporter's story.. Sorry for the inconvenience

Running Home for a Delightful Evening

Last Night we played against Lomira who were 1-0 in conference after their late victory over North Fond Du Lac. SO we were pretty pumped since at the moment we were 1-0 also and were looking to add our status to 2-0.. Which as of 6 o'clock yesterday, we are!!
After Karen worked her magic on the mound. The hitting parade started off with Emily Muche and Kelly Seibel getting on base and then Steph Kramer was up, she hit a rocket out past center field to drive a 3 run HOMERUN. Then a few batters later Molly Sippel had two runners on and also cranked herself a 3 run HOMERUN.
The next time up Molly hit another home run- this time a 2 run HOMERUN (This was Molly's Third homerun EVER)
In the Third it was 15-0 and we figured we were done, but the umpires decided to give lomira one more chance at hitting, which turned into nothing except that Karen walked two girls.

The First Bite Never Tasted So Sweet

Last nite we faced off Springs in our first conference game of the season, but not before we hit up Subway for some food... Emily lead it off on the mound pitching for five innings with a total of nine strikeouts and she also had an awesome line drive catch. Courtney was amazing at the plate, although she only had two hits in the seventh we were all sure that ball was outta here, but the wind got the best of it and it literally stopped in mid air and dropped into the outfielder's glove. AK!!! anywho when it came to hits; Karen also had two awesome rips. According to Springs they had 9 errors and they had four sloppy innings against us, but i guess whatever they say-- i think it may have been our skills too.. What i found which left me awe struck was how their coach literally yelled at them from the third base line when they were batting, can you say 'anger management'????
Well anyways, Karen came in the sixth inning to close the game, six batters later it was game over. Way to be.. in the word's of Westphal "Well we're 1-0, and you gotta be 1-0 before you can be 14-0"

A double scoop of AWESOME

Uh yea cheesy... Anywho hey ya'll so i've got the awesome scoop about our double header, (Sweep, Sweep, Sweep) The first game Karen worked her magic, but the umpire must've not liked us, because K SexyDubs(Emphasis on the Sex) was pumping out strikes left and right(and up and down ;p) but the ump wasn't keen on calling them strikes but he did graciously call 5 strikeouts but that was counteracted on the fact that he called 4 walks and way too many strikes balls grrr... oh well..... then we just got our sticks going in the second inning and kept those going to the end.. which i got really lucky cause i nailed one like two feet foul and the umpire called it fair... Victory was so sweet after yesterday.. Finished it up at 8-2 Erin(2RBI), Courtney(3RBI), and I(1RBI) each had two hits each, kelly Seibel had a triple, and karen knocked a double as well.

Emily (When i say "E" You say "Mu"= "E" "Mu") pitch the second game which was determined to be a 5 inning game due to weather conditions (Even though it was "65 Degrees"). And with the change of empires we had a slight change of strikezone but not much, but it was mysterious that some strikes he called had been called balls by the prior umpire.. again grr... Howards grove scored two runs in the first innig but that was it, we scored in the second, third, and fourth innings to grasp the win. Alysha batted in an RBI with her fielder's choice, Molly earned her RBI with her groundout, and Emily drove Karen in off a hard hit that the 3rd basemen mishandled. Final Score 3-2

Thank You for Seconds

Round Two came about with an even greater sting-- it was cold and really close.... for you who don't know we played Oakfield. last year it ended the season abruptly and this year it began the season with an abrupt lesson- we've got to step up our game for sure if we truly wanna live up to our potential.
It was looking glum at the top of the seventh we were down 0-1 and had one out.. something needed to happen FAST or we were going home with another no run game against Oakfield, but Karen Woldt hit single which was quickly followed by a rocketing home run between left and center by Courtney Georg (Way to be Girl!!) and then it was Oakfield's turn, they had one runner on first and with one crack of the bat another home run was sent into left and was all the way to the fence before it stopped.. and that was it in 5 mins it turned from yelling and screaming for joy to that same gut sinking turmoil.. so oakfield thanks but no thanks for the seconds and i didn like the taste of its bitter humble pie

To Err is Human

So yesterday at practice we were doing a drill.. I was in the back or the line and i turned my attention to the ball coming in and then WAM right into my left eye.. According to JMac i Looked like Quasimodo/Suffering from elephantitis of the eye... but i'm good i can see out of it YAY! see thats why i'm a catcher so i have a helmet on whenever i'm on the field... so i'll have to check out my exploits during practice today... Well i'll definitely get some pics on here of it soon its totally badass

Over Load

Wow i have no idea no idea how to even start about this weekend, first of all i.ve gotta say that i'm so proud of You Sammy because you are just so amazing and wow.. For those of you who are oblivious to wat happened within the last few hours, New Plymouth (New Holstein, Plymouth) took FIRST place as a team.. Oh Baby! way to be you guys..

So this insanity all began Thursday night wen i went over by Sammy.. Just to be honest i thought it was gonna be really awkward with Tony (another note for the oblivious-- Sammy's Boyfriend) since i never really met except a few glances at bowling, but it turned out to be just fine.. actually it made thursday nite and friday morning freaking hilarious cause we instantly ganged up on sammy and it got to point where we were finishing each others jabs at sammy..
I'm not going to go into sleeping with Sam and tony cause there is way too much for anyone to know.. Except that i met Sammy's monster.. (=X)

Friday night was garbage and i must say that i am greatly disappointed in myself that again i failed to lead my team to keep it together and i feel that our team and especially myself did not live up to our potential.. FYI to everyone Obnoxious People Suck!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday night ended as a basically crazy time in which i regret my temper.. But at about four wen i was done with swimming i hung out with tony for a LONG time, but don't worry it was quite on the contrary as to wat danielle was thinking was going on between us.. But we drew pictures on the windows whistled at people outside and just joked around... Then we went swimming and i lost my cool with sammy but i really dont feel like going into it because i love her and its over.. After a little more drama i talked w tony just being supportive..

Found out that sammy couldn't be my partner for doubles.. Yuck.. pretty sure we would have dominated but it wasn't too bad considering my back was a piece of crap from wiping out on the ice (OUCH) but it was kinda creepy that my score was 666.. After that hung out with sammy before they bowled the championship.. Got a genuine Sammy hug because i had to go.. Weather was yucky but i was elated to recieve the text from tony "First HELL YEAH!!!" i'm so proud and i send my love to you all

A Great Bonus to Bowling

Bowling not only helps you learn to focus and gain stability.. But i've been graced another awesome benefit-- two awesome friends. My freshman year i knew only one person on my team and it felt a little intimidating but i've always been open minded and used my charm(yea right) and soon was on speaking terms with everyone on my team whether i like it now or not.. but after two years i am very enthused to say that i have a great friend with whom i have confided and i feel is my wing'man' when bowling who keeps my spirits up.. together we have been unofficially Captains.. LEO!!! So i'm going to do my best to make her 18th birthday awesome at state.. And with that 18th birthday i have a partner assisting me in my schemes.. I realise that i likely knew this person last year but never truly knew her til now.. now i've hung out with my new friend and i can't even express how funny that from bumping into someone and making some quirky comments i made an awesome friend.. Leo and i joke about Sammy because one day she honestly must have hugged me more in one day than i've been hugged in a year, but that's just part of the charm of sammy.. One of my favorite things to do is to be a little motivational speaker for her here'sust a sample "Well i hope so.. who else is going to be there to remind you that they love you and are supporting you through think and thin at this tournament, knowing that you can dominate and that even though think you have no confidence, we are amazed at you and you inspire us to have our own confidence we never knew we had?" And she truly does inspire me and makes me joyful as does leo and was there at sectionals wen it seemed like my darkest hour when i felt that i had failed my team Sammy made me feel that everything was okay and i did not fail them..

The smellier side of Bowling

Now as in the last post I've a little bit to say about coaches but Cary is off the hook. it has to do about my coach and his daughter.. Another really good thing for coaches to do is to be CLEAN!!! I mean come on coaches are the ones who represent the team to another coach and if you smell bad, I'm sorry but that's just awful, i mean seriously there is some major false representation there well unless your Crystal cause then you do smell just as nasty. Mark honestly smells like the last time he did take a shower(which was a really long time ago) he rubbed cigarettes all over instead of soap(Only god knows wat would happen if they were exposed to soap) or he forgot o shower a week ago and still hasn't made up for it yet!!!! And don't get me started on what happens when him or hiss nasty ass daughter lift their arms in the air exposing the earth with their toxicity. Its like BAM the shit hits the fan and OMFG it smells bad, just a couple weeks ago i was at i meet warming up as usual and she was putting her hair up and i walk up in line behind her and its like my nasal passages have hit a brick wall, my eyes and nose(poor thing) started running i couldn't stay there any longer i had to walk away and sniff some lotion, i think my nose is scarred for life. And you know its REALLY BAD when myself and the rest of the team are considering buying out Bath & Body works cause you smell SO F@#!^& BAD... And i know its even worse when we start plotting ways to spray you with body spray(ADIDAS!!!) behind your back because she smells so bad. Yup U know its bad if you can burn the hairs off a monkey @ fifty yards.. Well one thing for Crystal there is no way she'd be gay because i realise that if she were gay she'd be more likely to be in the girls locker room taking a SHOWER with other girls but NOPE cause as it seems she doesn't shower at school or @ HOME.. Like I've said ITS BAD but especially now that we've been thinking of ways to fix it. Here's one solution, we tie them to a vehicle[but not mine cause their nastiness would corrode the paint off my truck] and take them through a car wash and i mean one of those ones with the huge brushes and LOTS AND LOTS and did i mention LOTS OF F@#!^& SOAP for about ten cycles with the wax and spot free shine of course. or there is always option B- killing them cause then we could stick them in a landfill and in that landfill their nasty asses can break down all the products that the earth cant (Plastic You Are Going Down) and like i said before they could burn the hairs off a monkey @ fifty yards, and if they can do that think of what they could do with those nasty diapers which supposedly can't be broken down... ALSO you know its bad when well I'm in an anatomy course and we're dissecting cats and for some reason (which i think by now you know) the smell of dead cats and formaldehyde doesn't bother me everybody else is hacking and are like "OMG what is this awful smell" and I'm like "kinda smells like my Coach" lol MORAL OF THIS POST: TAKE A F@#!^& SHOWER PLEASE i know people are worried about the OZONE layer but I'm worried their ODOR layer that is truly killing the planet.

Coaches need to keep some comments to themselves

The most annoying thing a coach can do is to mumble some dumb ass comment which just ends up irking you. What's worse is when it's not your coach and you're not bowling.. Such an occasion has happened much too much. My boss is the coach of a team opposing to mine and often asks how teams and girls in my division are. And he has his little comments that i just laugh and roll my eyes, it usual doesn't make me too mad but....... Well about a week ago he had asked if the girls on the Plymouth team were as good as their fill % said or if we just did not have hard conditions(which believe me they were a bitch), he said he knew Danielle and Brittney were good but he doubted the rest. I told him that a friend of mine on their team, Samantha Rieder, was quite the bowler too. And as stated in a previous post she took third in qualifying in the Singles Shootout. Today when i went to work i commented that Sammy was as good as i said. Cary replied to me, "Oh you mean that tall girl with the ponytail?" Having giben him a yes reaponse, he continued saying, "Man the girl was a nutjob, getting all emotional and so on." I was appalled!!! and Extremely pissed off, so i made sure to comment that her and i might be doubles partners, just to watch that smirk drop off his face. Hell if i'd have made singles my emotions would have been worse than the female version of Oscar the Grouch on that monthly curse!!!!!! Ok a bit over dramatic, but still each bowler is different, some emotional, others ice.. And if i Wanted To i could start on my Coach.... But I'll wait to see how this weekend goes..

Coming this weekend: Results From Sectionals- Whose going to State

WLACNF will have to fight at Sectionals

Winnebago Lutheran Academy’s Co-op bowling team looks with anticipation toward the upcoming Sectional tournament on February 14, 2009, at King Pin Bowl and Alehouse in West Bend.

WLACNF, finishing second in the North Division, feels confident in their abilities as a team. Captain Leolani Kaikana confidently stated, “I guess we’re amazing at what we do [and] we give it our all most of the time. [I'm] kind of confident in my team but not as much as in myself and you” I myself have mixed feelings and more or less am hoping that this weekend is better than last year.

The team will be fighting highly favored Kewaskum and Plymouth-New Holstein Co-op for the Sectionals Championship. It would be a historical first for either three teams because it has never happened at any of their schools. Courtney Meyer, a senior at Kewaskum, commenting on what their advantage would be next weekend, said, “[It’s] the drive to do something that has never been done in our school before.” They have already written some history by taking the title of South Division Conference Champions.

As for Plymouth-New Holstein Co-op, after earning the title of North Division Conference Champions they are really working well together. Samantha Rieder, a junior at New Holstein, states, “Sectionals are crunch time to see how well you work as a team and how much practice pays off in the long run.” They finished 15-1.

WLACNF finished the season with a loss, finishing 14-4. The team, coached by Timothy Helbig and Mark Kremer, is composed of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Laconia High School, and North Fond Du Lac. There are three seniors this year— Leolani Kaikana, and Crystal Kremer, both from Laconia, and Lauren Eaton of WLA. They are anticipating going to state as they did two years ago in their 2006 season.
